Woodcracker® News at the Forexpo exhibition 2021
Westtech presented it’s winner of the price “Machine of the year” in the division “Forestry attachments” at the exhibition Forexpo at the end of September 2021 in France. The magazine Le Bois International executed the mentioned award “machine of the year 2021”.
The exhibition Forexpo took place in Mimizan from 22nd of September until 24th of September 2021 and counted 25 000 visitors and 400 exhibitors. This exhibition takes place annually since 1962 and enjoys great popularity ever since to present new technology or know-how in the forest technology branch.
As Upper Austrian forestry machine producer, WESTTECH was also to be found at the Forexpo as exhibitor. The company presented the grapple saw Woodcracker® CS750 smart and the treeshear Woodcracker® CL320.
The grapple saw Woodcracker® CS750 smart got launched in October 2019 as a further development of the saw’s smart execution and is expanding its circle of stoked customers ever since. It got developed for tree fellings due to safety reasons or problematic tree felling and gets attached to a telescopic handler or other long beam carrier vehicles with a service weight from 15 to 25 tons. The maximum cutting diameter is 750mm with a deadweight about 950kg.
The Woodcracker® CS750 smart is featured with a strong gripper, which enables fellings due to safety reasons. This qualifies the saw for work in urban or residential areas, when safety is the most important aspect as well for the forestry staff as e.g. for houses or power poles next to the construction site. Therefore the safe removal of trees or tree parts is possible.
The “machine of the year”, the Woodcracker® CS750 smart, stands out due to technical ingenuity and highest possible safety for the forestry staff.
The treeshear Woodcracker® CL320 was also presented at the Forexpo booth. The machine is on the market since spring 2021 and is the biggest treeshear of the CL series up to now.
The maximum cutting diameter is 400mm in soft wood and 320mm in hard wood. As carrier vehicles qualify excavators, teleloader or loader with a service weight of 12 to 20 tons.
The possible application areas for this machine are the fast harvest of small trees and bushes and harvest of short rotation plantations. The Woodcracker® CL320 can also be used in the agricultural sector.
The treeshear’s cutting system has a high-strength blade, which can be sharpened and is resistant and impervious to dirt. If the blade has to be changed, however, it can be done fast and easy.
The treeshear Woodcracker® CL320 stands out with versatile application possibilities and extreme sturdiness.
