As a forestry machinery manufacturer, we showcased an unprecedented product portfolio live in June at he KWF trade fair in Germany! This included top new products such as the grapple saw for small excavators – Woodcracker® CS545 compact and the new felling head Woodcracker® C300.
Around 50,000 trade visitors from all over the world attended the KWF trade fair in Schwarzenborn (Germany) from 19 to 22 June 2024. Over 500 exhibitors from 30 countries presented innovative developments from the forestry industry, live demonstrations and impressive new products.
Under the motto ‘Your Forestry Experts’, we presented our latest developments together with Jenz and Ebert and showed the entire process from wood harvesting to wood chip production.
Over 25 Woodcracker® machines on 750 m2 exhibition area
With a large selection from our product range, we exhibited 25 machines at our Westtech booth. Some demonstrated wood sawing, cutting, and splitting to visitors during live demos.
Included the new grapple saw Woodcracker® CS545 compact and the newly released felling head Woodcracker® C300.
The new Woodcracker® C300 offers a cutting diameter of up to 35 cm and is suitable for attachment to 12–18 tons excavators. The machine is equipped with a multigrip-controller, as an option a accumulator and/or autospeed-function is available.
The Woodcracker® CS545 compact grapple saw is designed for carrier vehicles weighing between 8 to 15 tons and can cut up to 54 cm. It features a spring-mounted saw box, an automatic chain tensioner and grease-based chain lubrication. An optional endlessly rotatable tiltator is also available.
The felling truck with the Woodcracker® CS750 flexHead2 attracted attention due to its high reach. This machine, mounted on a truck crane, offers a vertical movement angle of 145° and is endlessly rotatable. With the powerful CS750, logs up to 75 cm thick can be cut safely and precisely, enabling safe work at high distances with maximum flexibility.
Also presented was the new Woodcracker® CS590 flexHead3. This machine achieves movement angles of 160° vertically and 90° horizontally and is also endlessly rotatable. The CS590 can cut trees up to 60 cm at great heights. This machine was also designed for mounting on a truck crane and differs from the CS750 flexHead2 in its range of motion and cutting diameter.
