Dutch Recycling-Company Van Werven counts on Woodcracker

In April 2018 the Dutch company Van Werven from Oldenbroek received a new Woodcracker C450. The wood cutting head was mounted to the existing Volvo EW185 with 22 tons net weight. A good combo, because the cutting head is equipped with a tiltator, autospeed function and a collector.

The autospeed function optimizes fuel consumption and with the tiltator the machine is able to rotate endlessly. The collector unit cuts and collects several trees in one work step.

First use in urban residential area

The company uses the Woodcracker C450 primary for maintenance work along streets, since the machine can be exchanged very easily and fast. The C450 is capable of cutting trees up to 450mm in diameter. First use was the in an urban residential area, where it could show its benefits. In particular, the simple and precise handling and the fact, that trees can be removed in a vertical position in order to keep surrounding buildings safe. Van Werven operator Wiljan is amazed, it was obvious that he had things under control from the first operating hour.
